Sage reports that Sage 300 ERP 2012 and Crystal Reports 2011 work with Windows 8.1 as well as Server 2012 with service pack 2. We recommend using the latest release of Sage 300 2012 as it is the release they tested. We continue to test in-house and would welcome news of your testing results.

At the recent Sage Summit in Washington D.C, Sage and SAP confirmed that the issues with Sage 300 ERP version 6.1, Windows 8 and PrintBoss are caused by Crystal Reports 2011. SAP has committed to solving this issue. We have been told the official announcement will be posted on the Sage 300 Forum page. We will also post an announcement when we have tested the fixes.
We are encouraged by the fact that the specific issue has been identified and we are excited that the solution has been assigned and will be available soon.
Please note, PrintBoss continues to be compatible with all versions of Sage 300 ERP on XP, Vista and Windows 7 operating systems. Dealers have also had success with Sage 300 ERP version 5.6 and Windows 8.

Here are the details as we know so far:
1. Fields being rendered as images is random. Three different print jobs may render 3 different results.
2. Sage will only support Accpac 2012 with Crystal 2011 as SAP says only 2011 is compatible with Windows 8.
3. We are currently working with Sage and SAP on this issue. It is not unique to Sage. It affects any program that uses Crystal Reports.
4. We have not tested other Crystal report versions as the Crystal engine in Accpac 2012 is Crystal 2011.
5. The latest updates Sage asked us to test were not successful.
At this time we do NOT have a solution for Windows 8 and Accpac 60/61.

Update: We have narrowed the issue between PrintBoss, Windows 8 and Accpac 60/61. It appears that data is randomly being saved and printed as a graphic image instead of text in Crystal Reports version 2011 on Windows 8. The graphic image is not recognized by PrintBoss. This was true even afer loading the update available for the Crystal Reports version 2011 engine. At this time we do NOT have a solution for Windows 8 and Accpac 60/61.

Update: we have been able to replicate the issue in-house, but still have not found a consistant pattern. At this time we do NOT have a solution for Windows 8 and Accpac 60/61.

We are currently working to resolve a printing issue between Accpac 60/61, PrintBoss and Windows 8. One client has reported that sometimes advice lines are being dropped. So far we have not determined a consistant pattern. We will post a notification once we have a solution.
