A bin file is written to the root of the drive that is designated as a signature disk. Please call Technical Support at (636) 527-6100 to resolve this issue.

No. At least not that I'm aware of. All we did was reinstall PrintBoss. I don't htink there's anyone at our organization who would even know that you could do that let alone how to do it. Is there any way I can tell if this has been done?

Did someone run Signature Disk Duplication on the drive of the new computer? It is possible to make an internal hard drive a signature disk. The results would be just as you described.

After looking at the setup, PrintBoss is installed on the network. Also, I have had other users try to print the same check without their disk in the drive and they can't. I'm going to try redoing her setup but this is a HUGE security risk. The fact that other users can't print without their disk tells me the .sig file is fine, the configuration is fine, and the check form is fine. None of this ever changed. The only difference is that she got a new PC.

This would not be typical behavior. Normally the encrypted signature (.sig file) is copied to the PrintBoss/Logos folder. It is then associated with a Bank Account on the 'Signatures & Logos' tab. There is scripting on the Runtime Objects tab of the Form/Editor which designates computer drives to check before printing the encrypted signature. The script should look like this with the drive letters specified at the end of the line:
#[FileExists,"{BSigFile}"][AmntRange, {BSigLo}, {BSigHi}]Pic {BSIGX}, {BSigY}, "{BSigFile}", "/Width:{BSIGWD} /Height:{BSIGHT} ",,DEFGA^

The easiest way to edit this line is to double-click on it and then edit the Command Properties box.

I have a user who just got a new PC. We installed PrintBoss on her new machine and she is able to print checks. The only problem is that the signature disk was still in her old PC and she never got the "Insert Signature Disk" message. The checks printed with signatures. Is there some setting I need to set so that the signature disk is required? Is this a security issue? It seems to me that any of my users could just reinstall PrintBoss and then print checks without a signature file.
