The issue was caused by the PB#Assign in the Crystal report. Replacing the PB#Assign with the e-mail address directly on the Crystal report, and then assigning the field in the PrintBoss form maintained the underscore. For more information see: Setting-up E-mailing with Sage.

Subject: Problems with PrintBoss email field

We are using PrintBoss to manage our printing, fax, and emails from our Sage X3 ERP software.
We’ve recently noticed a problem when generating an email from PrintBoss.

The EmailTo address is getting pulled in from X3 but whenever there is an underscore somewhere in the address, the underscore gets dropped.
So “sally_email@something.com” becomes “sallyemail@something.com” instead. I’m not sure how long this has been an issue, it was just brought to my attention recently.

We are on the 5.7.2 version right now. I will be running an update this evening to bring us current to the 5.7.3

If this is a known issue that will not be solved with an update, I would very much like some help to fix this.

Some possibly pertinent information:
We’ve recently updated our X3 clients from the 104 client to the 109 client which uses a different version of Crystal reports than we were previously using.
We’ve also recently updated our workstations from Windows XP to Windows 7.
