Servers and Workstations Compatibility
PrintBoss has been compatible with both W2003 and WXP 64-bit operating systems since version 5.15.6 – dated 29 December 2006.
Note: PrintBoss is NOT compatible with 64-bit Microsoft Outlook for e-mailing via the Enterprise Edition. However, if the 32-bit version of Microsoft Outlook is loaded on the 64-bit server, PrintBoss will send e-mail via the Enterprise Edition through Microsoft Outlook.
PrintBoss is compatible with Vista and W2005 servers beginning with version 5.22.3 – dated 19 April 2007.
Note: W2008 server virtualizes programs saved in the Program Files folder. For this reason, we recommend installing PrintBoss at the root of C: or some path off the root not connected to the Program Files folder. When a folder is virtualized, each user receives a clean version of the application. Therefore, common data is not shared as it should be for PrintBoss to operate correctly.
PrintBoss is compatible with Windows7 and W2008 servers beginning with version 5.65.1 – dated 7 April 2010.
Drivers
The “PrintBoss 50” driver must have a date of at least 29 December 2006 for W2003 and XP and a date of at least 13 April 2007 for Vista, and W2005 server.
The “PrintBoss 50” driver must have a date of at least 24 February 2010 for Windows7 and W2008 server.
